Tonight at Bellator 298, former interim Bellator welterweight champion Logan Storley will take on Brennan Ward in the main event. The non-title bout is scheduled for five five-minute rounds.
Storley hopes to rebound from the last loss that costs him his chance at becoming the undisputed titleholder. Yaroslav Amosov defeated him by unanimous decision at Bellator 291 on Feb. 25 to remain the Bellator Welterweight Champion and extend his undefeated record to 27-0.
While Storley hopes to return to the win column, his opponent tonight comes into the fight on a three-fight run of victories, finishing all his opponents during that streak. Ward’s last victory was a TKO win over Sabah Homasi at Bellator 290: Bader vs. Emelianenko 2 on Feb. 4. If Ward can defeat Storley, he will make a solid case to be the number one contender for the title.
In the co-main event, Valentin Moldavsky and Steve Mowry will clash in a rematch at heavyweight. Their first fight ended with a no contest after Moldavsky accidentally eye-poked Mowry in the first round at Bellator 284: Gracie vs. Yamauchi on Aug. 12, 2022.
