Bellator 299: Johnny Eblen vs. Fabian Edwards Weigh-In Live Stream & Results (8:00 AM ET)

Bellator returns tomorrow with a middleweight title fight between champion Johnny Eblen and Fabian Edwards. While trying to retain his belt, Eblen hopes also to keep his undefeated MMA record intact.

Eblen has been dominant since joining Bellator in 2019, decisively winning nine fights in the company. His last victory was against Anatoly Tokov by unanimous decision at Bellator 290: Ryan Bader vs. Fedor Emelianenko 2 on Feb. 4.

Tomorrow will mark his second title defense, and many believe he will continue his reign. He is a -535 favorite according to DraftKings. A win for Eblen will mark the continuation of his dominance and put Bellator in a difficult position to find a worthy challenger.

While most appear to be siding with the champion to win, Edwards should not be taken lightly. The challenger climbed up the middleweight rankings and proved he should be in the title picture.

The Brit’s last win was against former Bellator middleweight champion Gegard Mousasi by unanimous decision in the main event of Bellator 296 on May 12. Inspired by his brother, UFC Welterweight Champion Leon Edwards, “The Assassin” is ready to bring home Bellator gold to the family.

The card’s co-main event will mark the return of featherweight Aaron Pico, who will try to defeat Bellator veteran Pedro Carvalho. Sitting third in the division, Pico hopes to keep his spot in the rankings and become the next featherweight title challenger.

Bellator 299: Eblen vs. Edwards will occur at the 3Arena in Dublin, Ireland, on Sep. 23. The main card will air live on Showtime at 4 PM ET/1 PM PT, with the preliminary card kicking off the event at 11 AM ET/8 AM PT on Bellator’s YouTube Channel.
