All of the anticipation and trash talk finally came to an end when Jake Paul took on Nate Diaz in a boxing match on Saturday, August 5 at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas.

The night’s headlining bout saw Nate Diaz make his boxing debut and compete for the first time since leaving the UFC when he took on Jake Paul. Diaz showed off some of his legendary toughness and cardio throughout the fight, but it was Paul that managed to knock the former UFC title challenger down in the fifth round and take a clear unanimous decision.
Most of the attention leading up to the card was focused on the main event, but in the night’s co-main event recent PFL signee Amanda Serrano also defended her undisputed female featherweight title against Bellator veteran Heather Hardy.

UFC veterans Chris Avila and Jeremy Stephens also met in a 168-pound contest as part of the event’s main card. The fight was the third time that Avila has competed on an event headlined by Paul, and he spoiled Stephens bid to collect his first boxing victory by outclassing him for the majority of their six-round bout.
