Former UFC middleweight champion Luke Rockhold may not be in the UFC anymore. That doesn’t stop him from wanting to fight another former champ.
It has been a tough road for Rockhold recently, having left the UFC on a three-fight skid, with his last fight in the promotion being a war with Paulo Costa. He then moved to BKFC, only to suffer serious damage against Mike Perry, conceding in the second round.
Luke Rockhold Is Gunning For Alex Pereira
While Luke Rockhold has not had the best of luck in competition recently, he is still an elite fighter with deadly skills. In fact, he proved that recently when he appeared at Karate Combat and broke the record set by former UFC and Glory Kickboxing champion Alex Pereira, for the highest score on their kicking box.

Then, to follow this up, Rockhold made it clear that he not only kicks harder that Pereira, but he is a better fighter than “Poatan.” In fact, he made it seem like he is all but gunning for the former two-division kickboxing champion, issuing a serious threat to Pereira.
“Pereira, it’s like any day with Pereira. Give me ten seconds on the ground, I’ll fucking kill that motherfucker,” Rockhold proclaimed.
To be fair, Luke Rockhold may have a legitimate point about what would happen if he managed to get Alex Pereira to the ground in a fight. Of course, he would have to get Pereira to the ground without being caught with a massive left hand, which is ultimately the tricky part.
As far as what is next for Rockhold, he is still in something of a state of limbo, since making it clear he was no longer interested in bare-knuckle boxing. It will be interesting to see where he ends up next.
