Michael Chandler Belittles Conor McGregor's Strength After TUF 31 Shove Goes Viral
Tensions between Michael Chandler and Conor McGregor continue to mount ahead of their anticipated fight later this year.
McGregor and Chandler are expected to return to the Octagon against one another by the end of 2023. The fight was announced earlier this year but a formal booking is still in the works with the UFC.
McGregor and Chandler began the promotional angle of their upcoming clash by competing as coaches on The Ultimate Fighter 31. The latest season of the UFC’s reality show is set to debut on May 30th on ESPN.
As fans get ready to watch what will likely be a highly eventful TUF 31 season, the producers released a teaser trailer featuring some of the season’s moments. This included a heated altercation between McGregor and Chandler, including a face shove from the Irish star.

“Barely felt it…” Chandler tweeted.
McGregor hasn’t fought since a nasty leg break he suffered against Dustin Poirier at UFC 264. By the time he and Chandler clash, it’ll be more than two years since his last fight in the Octagon.
Chandler hasn’t fought since a loss to Poirier at UFC 281 last November. He is looking to get back on track in his UFC tenure and earn another potential lightweight title shot down the line.
Despite their heated confrontation, things between McGregor and Chandler remain respect-fueled with some competitive fire mixed in. Fans of both fighters will get a full look at their evolving relationship when TUF 31 launches later this month.
