Tim Elliott Another Step Up In Competition For Muhammad Mokaev
This matchup should be an entertaining one for fans, and it also marks a significant step forward for Mokaev after the unbeaten fighter has already collected four wins in the UFC.
One of the most-hyped prospects in MMA history thanks to his stunningly successful amateur career, Mokaev joined the UFC in 2022 and needed less than a minute to submit Cody Durden in his debut before scoring another pair of wins by the end of the year.
The 22-year-old had to overcome some serious adversity in his last fight when Jafel Filho caught him in a deep kneebar attempt, but “The Punisher” fought through the submission before ending things himself with less than 30 seconds remaining in the bout.

Elliott certainly isn’t an eay return fight for Mokaev, as his unique fighting style could result in some intense grappling exchanges between the two fighters. The 36-year-old is currently on two-fight win streak that has him sitting at #10 in the UFC’s flyweight rankings, which is one spot ahead of Mokaev.
The matchup between Elliot and Mokaev is the first confirmed fight for UFC 294 in Abu Dhabi, but there’s been all kinds of speculation around other major names that make take part in the event on October 21.
