'My Worst Day At The Office' – Irish Prospect Shauna Bannon Reacts To Disappointing Loss In UFC Debut
Highly touted prospect Shauna Bannon did not have the UFC debut she was hoping for. However, she appears to be keeping her head up in spite of the loss.
Heading into her bout with Bruna Brasil at UFC London, “Mama B” Bannon already had a lot of hype behind her, in spite of the fact that she had yet to compete in the UFC yet. A large portion of this hype came from the fact that the undefeated strawweight was being backed by fellow Irish native, Conor McGregor, who was supportive of the potential for the UFC’s first female Irish star.

In the end, Bannon had something of an underwhelming UFC debut, failing to live up to the expectations some had for her. She would be outworked by Brasil across three rounds, dropping a unanimous decision and receiving her first loss.
Following the fight, Bannon took to Twitter to react to her performance. Here, she apologized to Dana White before promising thay this was an abnormally bad performance and that she will look to do better in her next outing.
“Be back better next time boss! My worst day in the office on the most important day absolutely heart broken but I WILL BE BACK 🥇” Bannon wrote, before adding, “To have the worst performance on the night that means the most is the hardest pain in the world, but I will be back yous all know it and know I belong in that @ufc octagon”

This was a humble response from Shauna Bannon, who now has a record of 5-1 after dropping the decision to Bruna Brasil. It will be interesting to see how she looks when she decides to return to action, and if she is able to make the necessary improvements.
