Photos: Leigh Wood Dominates Mauricio Lara Over Twelve, Regains WBA Title

Manchester – In a rematch for the vacant WBA featherweight title, Leigh Wood (27-3, 16 KOs) got revenge as he outboxed and outworked Mauricio Lara (26-3-1, 19 KOs) for a dominant twelve round unanimous decision. (photos by Mark Robinson)

The scores were 118-109, 118-109 and 116-111.

The WBA title was only at stake for Wood, with Lara failing to make weight on Friday. 

Back in February, Wood was ahead on the cards when Lara knocked him out with a single hard hook in the seventh round.
