Report: Tyson Fury vs. Francis Ngannou Boxing Fight Announcement Is Imminent

If the reports are true and the fight gets booked, it’ll be months in the making. After Ngannou parted ways with the UFC earlier this year, he turned his attention to making his professional boxing debut and a new chapter in MMA.
Ngannou signed with the PFL earlier this year after a tense contract dispute with the UFC. He was stripped of the heavyweight title that was later won by Jon Jones at UFC 285.
Talks of a crossover fight between Ngannou and Fury began two years ago, not long after Ngannou earned the UFC heavyweight title by defeating Stipe Miocic. The two sides have teased the super fight for months, but the fight hasn’t been formally booked.
It’s uncertain if a fight between Fury and Ngannou will be an exhibition or a professional bout. Details are expected to be unveiled upon the official announcement by promoters.

Fury ended a brief retirement by defeating Derek Chisora last December to retain the WBC heavyweight title. He also won back-to-back fights over Deontay Wilder and a knockout victory against Dillian Whyte.
Fury is widely regarded as one of the greatest boxers of all time with a 33-0-1 record. Despite his in-and-out approach to fighting in recent years, he appears set to make big-name matchups happen before he hangs up the gloves for good.
We’ll keep you up to date regarding the targeted Fury vs. Ngannou matchup as details surface.
