Richarlison’s tweet to Jamie Carragher goes viral after Everton 3-2 Crystal Palace

Richarlison has told Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher that he doesn’t respect him after Everton secured their Premier League status for another season on Thursday night.

The Brazilian forward has been one of Everton’s standout performers in recent weeks, scoring six goals and registering two assists in his last nine appearances for the relegation-threatened Toffees.

His latest goal was arguably the biggest of his Everton career so far. Richarlison scored the equaliser against Crystal Palace as Frank Lampard’s side fought back from 2-0 down.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin then netted a priceless winning goal which means Everton are no longer in danger of being relegated to the Championship this weekend.

It was a huge night for Everton and their supporters and a pitch invasion subsequently ensued at the final whistle.

Palace boss Patrick Vieira was unfortunately involved in an altercation with an Everton fan after being goaded while making his way across the pitch.

Richarlison sends tweet to Carragher after Everton stay up

Hours after the full-time whistle, in the early hours of Friday morning, Richarlison sent an eyebrow-raising tweet to Carragher.

The South American tweeted: “Wash your mouth before you talk about me and Everton and I don’t respect you.”

Carragher recently criticised Richarlison

Richarlison presumably sent this tweet to the Sky Sports pundit after he was criticised by Carragher during last month’s Merseyside derby.

Carragher accused the Brazil international of faking an injury during the match, saying live on Sky Sports: “Honestly, get up, every week I watch him play like that! Get up, carry on.

“He’s been down three times already, [there’s] nothing wrong with him.”

However, replays appeared to suggest that Carragher’s criticism of Everton’s No. 7 was harsh.

Richarlison later posted a screenshot which showed he’d rolled his ankle while attempting to tackle Liverpool midfielder Thiago Alcantara.

Clearly irked by Carragher’s criticism, Richarlison hadn’t forgotten what was said and made his feelings crystal clear after Everton’s dramatic victory over Palace.
