Tottenham: Ashleigh Neville boosts Lionesses hopes with fine display vs Brighton
Ashleigh Neville produced a near-perfect performance as Tottenham thrashed Brighton 8-0 in the Women’s Super League.
Spurs were ruthless in attack and scored four goals in each half to inflict a humiliating defeat on the Seagulls and rise to fifth in the table.
Jessica Naz and Drew Spence both netted doubles, but it was Neville who was the star of the show — scoring twice and assisting a further two goals.

After Spurs scored twice early on through Molly Bartrip and Nikola Karczewska, it was then time for Neville to get in on the act.
The defender had not scored since the opening weekend of the season but played further forward against Brighton.
It paid dividends as Neville unleashed an unstoppable volley, having latched on to a flick-on from a corner.

It’s Neville’s highest FotMob rating of the season, though she is yet to receive less than a 7.2 in any league match so far this campaign.

How does the WSL table look?
Spurs have now won three of their five matches this season and have moved up to fifth – level on points with Man City, Everton and West Ham.
Prior to the Brighton game, they had scored just three goals, but their dominant display against the Seagulls has pushed their goal difference up to three.
At the top of the table, Man United, Arsenal and Chelsea are all level on 15 points, though the Blues have played a game more.
