UFC Commentator Joe Rogan & Others Hype Up Francis Ngannou vs. Tyson Fury In First Fight Hype Video
With his boxing debut against Tyson Fury finally set, Francis Ngannou wasted no time dropping the first promo video to hype up the heavyweight showdown.
Following a report last week that an official announcement for the matchup was impending, it was confirmed on Tuesday morning that Fury and Ngannou would meet in the boxing ring on October 28 in Saudi Arabia.
There were initially some questions about the specific details of the matchup after boxing promoter Eddie Hearn suggested he’d heard it may only be an exhibition bout, but Ariel Helwani confirmed shortly after the fight was announced that it would be contested “under the official rules of professional boxing” and that both men would be hunting for a knockout victory.

“The Predator” had to deal with plenty of criticism after he decided to walk away from the UFC earlier this year, but the promo video Ngannou released is a testament to all of the hard work he’s put in to reach this point.

Decked out in PFL attire, Ngannou can be seen wrapping his hands as Fury serenades a crowd by signing Don McLean’s “American Pie” while standing in the ring.
The promo includes footage of both men training as well as some clips of “The Gypsy King” actually boxing, plus soundbites from various media personalities such as Joe Rogan speculating on the likelihood of the matchup happening and Ngannou’s chances of winning.
The promo ends with the famous meeting Ngannou and Fury had in the ring after the boxing champion knocked out Dillian Whyte, and in October fight fans will see if “The Predator” is able to solidify his place as “the baddest motherf***er on the planet” in his boxing debut.
