Video: Fan Tries To Pick A Fight With Merab Dvalishvili And Al Iaquinta At The UFC 288 Press Conference
Bantamweight rising star Merab Dvalishvili and former UFC Lightweight Championship challenger Al Iaquinta recently endured a bizarre run-in with a fan.
During the UFC 288 press conference, ‘The Machine’ went into the audience to take some selfies with the fans. In amongst the crowd was an aggressive spectator who seemed to consider himself a fighter as well. An unimpressed Dvalishvili waved the agitated fan off and took the pre-planned selfie with some fans.
As ‘The Machine’ took the photo, the aggressive audience member appeared to retreat slightly as he watched on.
Al Iaquinta, meanwhile, was nearby when the bizarre incident kicked off. Not one to mince words, Iaquinta dissed the angry fan and even challenged him to step up and take him on right then and there. Unsurprisingly, the fan did not take ‘Raging’ up on the offer.

UFC 288 Headlined By Major Bantamweight Clash
For No.1-ranked 135lbs contender Merab Dvalishvili, tomorrow’s main event will be a must-watch.
UFC Bantamweight Champion Aljamain Sterling is putting the 135lbs gold up for grabs against the returning Henry Cejudo. Unsurprisingly, the outspoken duo have pilloried each other with all manner of comical trash talk on the way to their highly-anticipated showdown.
For Cejudo, UFC 288 gives him the opportunity to regain the gold he never lost. ‘Triple C’ bowed out of the fighting game back at UFC 249 after successfully retaining the bantamweight mantle against Dominick Cruz. Now, over three years later, Cejudo will go to war with arguably the most controversial champion in the history of the division.
Aljamain Sterling has seemingly been blessed with good luck more than once over the past two years. From picking up the belt after a blatant DQ strike from Petr Yan to taking on a badly injured TJ Dillashaw, ‘Funk Master’ has enjoyed a compelling, often bizarre run on top.
Whoever wins tomorrow night may just have to deal with ‘The Machine’ next.
