The crowd inside Bangkok’s iconic Lumpinee Stadium were treated to some memorable action today at ONE Championship’s latest event.
Asia’s largest martial arts promotion has been expanding its global presence this year courtesy of some blockbuster cards broadcast on Amazon Prime Video and a successful on-ground debut in the United States.
But it can perhaps be argued that the best action has been on offer at the organization’s weekly ONE Friday Fights events, which have showcased Muay Thai in 4-ounce mixed martial arts gloves.
The striking-only sport has enjoyed a number of memorable brawls and highlights under the ONE banner this year, but it can probably be said that none will come close to what went down at ONE Friday Fights 26: Kulabdam vs. Bohic.
On the undercard, Mohammed Siasarani and Satanfah Sitsongpeenong collided in a featherweight Muay Thai contest. Just past the halfway mark of round one, the Thai athlete brutally faceplanted his Iranian counterpart with a right hand.
While that appeared to be the beginning of the end, Siasarani provided a real-life example of the ‘call an ambulance, but not for me’ meme.
Looking for the finish, Satanfah immediately rushed in upon the restart after Siasarani answered the referee’s 10-count. Greeting him, however, was one of the stiffest counter right hooks in recent memory.

After that folded the Sitsongpeenong standout, Siasarani swarmed for the finish against the ring ropes, completing one of this year’s best comebacks and knockouts, and delivering a moment worthy for the sacred grounds of the ‘Mecca of Muay Thai’.
With that, we have our latest finish to add to the ONE Friday Fights highlight reel, and it’s hard to envision much topping it anytime soon.
Although there weren’t exactly as many style points when it came to Siasarani’s post-fight celebration…
