UFC 294’s featured prelim between Tim Elliott and Muhammad Mokaev promised fireworks. It certainly delivered on that promise.

There was a bit of heat between Elliot and Mokaev ahead of their UFC 294 flyweight clash. Elliot made the accusation that Mokaev had been given leniency on the scales by the commission in Abu Dhabi, and had not actually made the 126lb limit, resulting in a back and forth between the two.

In the end, the bout between Tim Elliott and Muhammad Mokaev would have it’s moments of excitement, with the bout being contested largely on the ground. Both men would have dominant positions at times, but Mokaev was the one who used strong wrestling en route to an arm triangle submission in the third round.

Following the fight, fans flocked to social media to praise Mokaev for the skills and technique that he put on display to beat the crafty veteran. Most fans seemed to be convinced that the undefeated Russian native is on his way to claiming gold.

This was clearly an impressive win from Muhammad Mokaev, who improves to 11-0 after UFC 294. He seems to have quite the bright future ahead of him.
